Shipping & Returns
Shipping and delivery are covered by our policy below.
We ship within the continental United States except Alaska, Florida, and Hawaii, which have strict import laws. We do not ship to U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico and Guam. It is the buyer's responsibility to understand the regulations governing the care and keeping of species in their state. Only hard goods are shipped to P.O. boxes - never live animals.

We ship weekly on Monday and Tuesday (Wednesday if possible) for orders placed the preceding week (Monday through Friday). On holidays, your order will be shipped on the next available shipping day.
You'll receive a minimum of two notifications from us:

When you place the order, a confirmation of receipt is sent to your email.

We will contact you to confirm a delivery time and method for the live animals.

Once your order ships, we'll email you the tracking number. You can use the tracking number to monitor the shipping activity.
The method of shipping depends on the product(s) you purchase:

Hard Goods - Federal Express Ground based on $ amount ordered:
$0-$150 = $20
$150-$300 = $30
$300-$500 = $50
Hard goods and live animals are not shipped together. This would be cost-prohibitive.

Live Animals - Packages containing live animals are shipped via Federal Express and can not be exposed to extreme weather conditions. For this reason, our Live Animal Guarantee (LAG) is valid only under the following precise shipping conditions:

All live animals are held at your local Federal Express Annex for pickup. They must be picked up within 12 hours of arriving at the Annex. We include heat and cold packs as needed.

Tarantulas and scorpions are shipped via Federal Express Overnight at $60. shipping fee.

Cubaris isopods are shipped via Federal Express Overnight at $60. shipping fee.

Isopods (except Cubaris) and other feeders are sent via Federal Express Two-Day service at $35. shipping fee.​

You must open and inspect your animal(s) within 12 hours of delivery to the Federal Express Annex. Make a video record of the process with timestamps.

If you receive a deceased animal, please report it to us within two hours of opening the package. This is why a recording is necessary. We'll want proof.

When these steps are followed, we'll refund the price you paid for the DOA animal. This refund does not include the shipping cost.​​​​​

If required, the animal(s) can be shipped to your door; however, this voids the Live Animal Guarantee. This method is not recommended for obvious reasons. ​

Ensure that you have the required husbandry supplies in place before your animal arrives. Live animal shipping cartons are designed to house animals for a limited time. They need to be rehoused as soon as possible. ​​

Cancellations
​Cancellations made before the item is packed and shipped will not be assessed a fee.
Cancellations made after the item is packed but before it is shipped will incur a 20% restocking fee.
Once the item is shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

​Returns & Exchanges
Refunds for live animals are granted only under our Live Arrival Guarantee. The nature of this business precludes us from accepting returns or making exchanges. Inventory is unpredictable and changes daily.​

Returns of unused hard goods are accepted minus shipping charges.​
