C. versicolor is a highly desired T due to its beautiful colorations and its docile temperament.

Spiderlings are metallic blue, and as they mature, the coloring turns to iridescent green, red, and purple, and they have pink toes.

C. versicolor spins elaborate funnel webs in which it spends most of its time. It also wants to climb.

It can bite, but the venom is considered relatively mild.
