A large Armadillidium is identified by its shiny, blue/gray coloration and tiny bumps.

This species thrives in moist to semi-arid environments supported by a gradient habitat starting with moderately wet, the middle being moist, and the opposite end is dry. Good ventilation is required.

Not sexually dimorphic.

Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
