    From the 'Armadillidiidae' family, this isopod is identifiable by a grey/black shell with random white spots. The reverse of a Dalmatian.

    A burrowing isopod that thrives in temperate environments with a moisture gradient. Keep one side moist (not wet) to maintain humidity. Good ventilation is important.

    Not sexually dimorphic.

    AKA "Pill Bug," it rolls into a ball to retain moisture when the habitat is too dry, as well as for a defensive posture.

    Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
