The Details:
A color morph of the Armadillidium depressum that occured naturally. It's identifiable by its white, semi-translucent body with small black flecks and yellow spots on its back. This is a rare isopod with a hard, calcified shell (when mature).
They prefer a temperate habitat and can not tolerate excessive moisture—a moderate moisture gradient with recommendations online ranging from 1/4 to 1/3 wet-to-dry ratio.
Not sexually dimorphic.
AKA "Pillbug," thus rolls into a ball to retain moisture when its habitat is too dry, as well as a defensive posture.
