AKA 'Yellow Spotted Isopod', the largest Armadillidium isopod.  Identified by its black shell with a distinct pattern of bright yellow spots.

This species thrives in warm, mid-humidity conditions supported by a gradient habitat starting with moderately wet, the middle being moist, and the opposite end is dry. Moderate ventilation.

Bold and outgoing; spends time in the open, making it a good display isopod.

Sexually dimorphic. Females show a grey/white ombre on their skirts.

AKA 'Pill Bug', thus rolls into a ball to retain moisture when the habitat is too dry, as well as a defensive posture.

Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
