Difficulty:A morph of Armadillidium gestroi is identified by a black and white carapace, as opposed to the black and yellow markings of the Armadillidium gestroi.
This species thrives in warm, mid-humidity conditions supported by a gradient habitat starting with moderately wet, the middle being moist, and the opposite end is dry. Moderate ventilation.
Bold and outgoing; spends time in the open, making it a good display isopod.
AKA "Pill Bug", thus rolls into a ball to retain moisture when the habitat is too dry, as well as a defensive posture.
Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
