From the family 'Armadillidiidae,' this Armadillidium species is also called the "granulated isopod." One of the largest of the Armadillidium species. Identifiable by bright yellow/green spots on a grey or brown shell.

This species thrives in low humidity and prefers a gradient habitat starting with wet, the middle being moist, and the opposite end is dry. This species will decline if the habitat is heavily wet. Requires good ventilation.

    Not sexually dimorphic.

    A bit shy and skittish

AKA "Pill Bug," thus rolls into a ball to retain moisture when the habitat is too dry, as well as for a defensive posture.

Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
