AKA "Clown Isopod" due to their vivid white and yellow patches on a brigh organge shell.
Said to mimic the colorations of the Mediterranean Black Widow spider.
Prefers a moderate moisture gradient, starting with one side of the enclosure being wet, the middle being moist, and the opposite side being arid.
Sensitive to traveling and being moved from one enclosure to another. Consequently, they can be slow starters.
Reclusive and sometimes burrows. Active during the day.
Not sexually dimorphic.
AKA "Pill Bug", thus rolls into a ball to retain moisture when the habitat is too dry, as well as a defensive posture.
Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
