Unlike the klugii Clown Isopods, the 'Eastern Clown' does not have colorful spots. Instead, there is a dark symmetrical pattern on both sides of its body. It has a slightly yellow stripe running in the middle of its back from nose to tail.

Prefers a moderate moisture gradient, starting with one side of the enclosure being wet, the middle being moist,  and the opposite side being completely dry.

    Mostly active at night.

    Not sexually dimorphic.

AKA "Pill Bug", thus rolls into a ball to retain moisture when the habitat is too dry, as well as a defensive posture.

Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
