Giant African Snail Shells
.
Hand-carried from West Africa, these giant shells can be used for tarantula hides and decoration. They are sanitized via a bleach soak and rinse, but not deep-cleaned or polished. Some shells may have minor chipping around the edge. These chips occure when the snails are extracted from the shells. The snails are eaten by the villagers.
As a decoration, the shells can be planted with succulents as shown in the picture. There is an optionally priced plastic base for standing.
Pricing is roughly based on sizing:
Small: 3 inches or less
Medium: 3 to 5 inches
Large: More than 5 inchesNote: Sizing may vary by fractions of an inch.
100% proceeds from these snail shells are returned directly to the village that collected and provided the shells to Keith's Arachnids. The village is located remotely outside of Freetown, Sierra Leone. The villagers are sustenance farmers with little to no access to cosmopolitan resources. The proceeds are delivered directly to the village for maintaining their well, school, and other shared village resources.
