Adult Size (DLS): The Small type is 2.5 inches, and the Large type is 3-4 inches.

Temperament: Shy, skittish, and not as defensive as other tarantula species. Some have reported them as flighty little escape artists.
Difficulty: A good species for beginning collectors.Identifiable by its deep black coloration with a bright orange pattern. This coloration is visible when they are slings.
Considered to be a dwarf, there are 2 types: small and large.
This T can be a heavy webber and will sometimes burrow. So it's good to provide sufficient substrate for burrowing and bark for hides. The substrate should be moist (not wet) for humidity.
In defense, they will hide. If provoked, they can bite and fling hairs. Their venom is not considered to be a medical threat to people.
