A dwarf bird-eating tarantula is identifiable by dark blue legs and abdomen, and the carapace glows with a pinkish-orange hue.
This T is tropical and sometimes burrows, so be sure to provide a sufficient amount of damp substrate. They are also heavy webbers.
In defense, their first reaction is to run and hide. It is reported that threat postures are rare, and they don't typically bite. They do have venom, but it is mild. They have urticating hairs.
