A dwarf species with adults showing velvety blacks and pinkish/orange legs. They also sport a heart-shaped mark on their rump.

An obligate burrower, so be sure to provide sufficient substrate. Spends most of its time in its burrow and is rarely seen in the open. However, you can see its pink legs at the mouth of its tunnel.

Its natural habitat is a rainforest, so warmth and humidity are critical for this T to thrive. A moisture gradient habitat is recommended with one side damp (not wet) and the other side dry.

Not social/communal. Nocturnal.

Not defensive. Not much information is available on its venom potency.

Not sexually dimorphic.
