Difficulty: For collectors with intermediate experienceSaid to be one of the rarest animals on Earth, it is nearly extinct in its natural habitat on Socotra Island. Thanks to breeding by hobbyists, these Ts are now abundant worldwide.
This burrower prefers to live mostly underground, so a sufficient substrate (7" - 8") is needed. It's also a prolific webber.
We housed our balfouri Ts communally. They are fed regularly to avoid cannibalism. We also discovered they do not breed in this environment, probably due to crowding.
