Identifiable by a solid white body with black spots that mimic a Japanese Koi fish called "Shiro Utsuri". This isopod also features a white skirt and a cute, "rubber ducky"- type face.
Prefers a moderate moisture gradient, starting with one side of the enclosure being wet, the middle being moist, and the opposite side being completely dry.
Very active and spends time on the surface. Voracious eaters
Not sexually dimorphic.
AKA "Pill Bug", thus rolls into a ball to retain moisture when the habitat is too dry, as well as a defensive posture.
Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
