    Temperament: Defensive, feisty, and skittish. Very fast. Urticating hairs. Quick to bite.

    Slings start with shades of pink or blue on their legs with a dark carapace. They prefer to burrow in damp substrate. Adults are typically brown or bronze and can appear to have a pink shine to them after they molt. Adults stay in the open and prefer a semi-humid environment.
