Common Name: Hispaniolan Giant Tarantula, Cacata in the Dominican Republic, and Araignée-Krab (literally "crab spider") or Haitian Brown in Haiti.

Lifespan: Females = 15-20 years Males = 4-6 years
Temperament: Defensive and aggressive. Urticating hairs. Quick to bite with fangs reaching 1 inch in length. The venom is not lethal but is considered medically significant.
Difficulty: Recommended for experienced collectors.Adults have brown legs and a metallic bronze/purplish carapace.
This T likes to burrow and also enjoys spending time above ground. So, make sure you have sufficient substrate for burrowing and sufficient terrestial space for hanging out.
