Porcellio scaber = "rough pig" (due to its bumpy carapace)

Identifiable by its mostly yellow with less orange calico patterning.

A hardy species that prefers a temperate climate. So, a damp and dry environment via a moisture gradient habitat is necessary. Good ventilation is critical.

Sexually dimorphic - Females (and juveniles) are mottled and lighter in color. Females have a brood pouch in which they carry developing young, and males have a genital projection located near their pleopodia.

AKA "Sowbug," thus cannot roll into a ball.

Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
