Porcellio lamellatus = little pig composed of or arranged in layers or thin plates
A coastal isopod from the Porcellionidae family.
Color ranges from beige to orange to brown to dark grey/black. They have rigid, calcified bodies.
Said to prefer cooler, semi-arid environments with a moisture gradient habitat consisting of one side that is moist (not wet) and the opposite side completely dry. Good ventilation is critical to prevent humidity.
A bit shy and prefers to hide. They are very fast runners.
AKA "Sowbug," thus cannot roll into a ball.
Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
