Superworms (Zophobas morio larvae)
.
AKA 'Kingworm', 'Morio Worm', 'Zophobas'
Lizards, turtles, frogs, salamanders, birds, koi, and other insectivorous animals eat superworms.
Superworms are high in protein and fat, making them a common food source in the reptile pet industry. Superworms have a softer exoskeleton than mealworms, making them more digestible to some reptiles. Their nutritional value is equivalent to that of mealworms.
Our Superworms are bred solely as a food source for exotic pets and are gut-loaded to ensure they provide the highest nutritional value.
You will receive a mix of sizes (1.7" - 2.25") based on the quantity ordered (25, 50, or 100). We intentionally offer smaller quantities to support hobbyists.
Be advised that, unlike the mealworm, superworms do not hibernate when put into the refrigerator. They should be stored at room temperature.
