    Native Local: Ecuador, Quito / Guyaquil
    Category: Arboreal,  New World (said to be Old World like)
    Adult Size DLS: 3.5 - 4 inches
    Lifespan: Females = 18 years / Males = 3-4 years
    Growth Rate:  Fast
    Temperament: Fiesty, extremely fast, and defensive. No articulating hairs. Venom considered mild compared to other old world-like Ts. However, it is painful and can be medically significant.
    Difficulty: A good specimen for beginning collectors.

     

    Shows metalic, iridescent colors that change based on the light and viewing angle. Opportunistic burrower so be sure to provide sufficient substrate,
