Temperament: Skittish and defensive when disturbed. Extremely quick and aggressive eater. Burrows, so be sure to provide sufficient substrate.
Difficulty: Not a good species for beginning collectors.Not a common T, and very little information is available.
Identifiable by purple femurs on adult females, while the males are solid purple.
An obligate burrower, it spends much of its time hidden in its burrow. Be sure to provide sufficient substrate and hides.
Should never be handled. No information on its venom.
