Difficulty: EasyFrom the Trachelipodidae family and identified by its often slate-grey in color, mottled with lighter patches, giving the appearance of three longitudinal stripes. Females are always marked with orange and/or red mottling. Its flagellum of both antennas has two segments, and there are five pairs of white lungs under its tail.
An active surface isopod that thrives in temperate environments with a moisture gradient. Keep the majority moist (not wet) with a smaller dry patch.
Sexually dimorphic. Females nearly always display ferrugineous spots. Males are darker in color and do not have ferrugineous spots.
AKA "Sowbug", thus is unable to roll into a ball (conglobate).
Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
