Difficulty: Easy - good for beginnersFormerly classified as a Cubaris, the T. Soil is relatively rare. They are large with very wide and flat bodies.
Identified by its soft shades of lilac and grey, with white legs and antennas. You will also see light highlights on the skirt edges.
T. Soil is active on the surface; it rarely burrows. These terrestrial isopods prefer mid to high humidity, supported by a moisture gradient where the majority of the habitat is moist (not wet) with a smaller dry patch.
AKA "Pill Bug", thus rolls into a ball ("arma") to retain moisture when the habitat is too dry, as well as a defensive posture.
Captive bred. Colonies include various sizes/ages.
