Temperament: Very aggressive, defensive, unpredictable. Lightening speed bolters and jumpers.

Said to have one of the strongest bites and potent venom of the New World species.  Medical attention is needed if bitten.

Terrestrial, needing a deep substrate to burrow its tunnels. No urticating hairs so it will bite. 

Sexually dimorphic as the male turns brown at maturity.
