    Native Locale: Panama, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru

    Adult Size (DLS): 9 inches
    Lifespan: Females=15 years         Males=4 years
    Growth Rate: Fast and sexually dimorphic
    Temperament:  Calm overall and not excessively defensive.  Fast moving. Defensive if threatened. Kicks hair and will bite. The bite is painful, but the venom is not considered medically significant.
    Difficulty: Recommended for collectors with an intermediate to expert level of experience.

     

    A large T is identifiable by its deep black underside, brown carapace and abdomen, and pink accents.Requires sufficient substrate for deep burrowing and a spacious, humid habitat.
